Stanley's Post Office & Town Hall

The Town Hall is on the first floor above the Post office, with the entrance out of the picture to the right. The Town Hall, is the main auditorium where official civic receptions, the annual May Ball, Darts tournaments and other civic functions are held.

The original Town hall was burnt to the ground in 1944, with many important documents etc being lost.

The present building dates back to 1950, and houses on the ground floor, not only the Post Office and Philatelic Bureau but also the Court and Council Chamber (our Parliament), and the offices of the Senior magistrate and Registrar General.
